As some of you may know, I spent most of the past week flying out to Cali to pick up my beloved and bring her back home in her car, meeting her parents in the process.

The morning we began our journey into a new life together, this wonderful rainbow presented itself in the early morning light. It was apparently the first rainbow they had seen in the area in quite some time. I just had to snap a pic of such a clearly defined rainbow, and I consider it a very good omen.

However, omen or not, I am a firm believer in making your own destiny. Relationships are not the easiest thing to build, and even harder to maintain, but I believe that we can do it, that this relationship will last for the rest of our lives.

Like expecting to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, expecting a relationship to maintain itself is asking for trouble, but the reward for doing it is far, far more valuable to me.
