This is the beginning of a major project which I will do in my spare time: See if I can corrupt all those hard hours and all the money to get my CADD Certification into making of random mecha.
These are a pair of LRM-15 launchers. For those who are not familiar with Battletech, this stands for Long Ranged Missile/15 shot. For those who *ARE* familiar with Battletech, these are the LRM/15 pods from the original 3025 Catapult, which is also the same missile pods used on the Timber Wolf (more popularly known as the Madcat).
I am planning on making different parts of different mecha, then trying to put them all together. My first project will be the Catapult, then the Marauder will be next. Of course, once I've got the Marauder arms, I might as well make the Madcat, since everyone else seems to. From there, I'll start making my own custom mechs, which I like making with The Drawing Board.
This drawing was made in AutoCAD 2006 Light Student Edition, then exported using the jpegout command. It was drawn 2D with an Isometric Snap (for the one other person who might actually know what that means). For the purposes of this set of drawings, the scale is irrelevant, so long as I get the scale from the different mech parts correct so they all get put together properly.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
